Illustration Friday--Travel

Ok, this is pretty silly, I know.
About ten years ago we visited Poulsbo and saw this guy wandering around in the parking lot of the diner where we'd just eaten. He was dressed in a purple fur outfit complete with horned helmet and muckluks and hollering at anyone who would listen to him. It was truly bizarre and I've always associated that guy with Poulsbo.
Turns out this sort of thing happens all of the time here. People just out and about in full Viking regalia, usually tipsy and smiling happily. How can you not love them?

I spent a lovely three day weekend in Poulsbo last year and fell in love with the people and the ubercuteness of the village. I literally sat on a bench across the street from the Knights of Columbus Hall with a guy who lives in town and he gave me the dish on the people who drove past. What a treat! Being from Dallas, TX any place with water and weather is heavenly. Thanks for reminding me of such a nice time. Cool blog BTW.
